Professional Experience
At present Dr. Georgiev worked as an associate professor and program advisor in the "National and International Security" Department at the New Bulgarian University. In the course of his career passes through positions such as:
- Air Force Engineer in Airbases, Air Force Research Base and Air Force Headquarters;
- Expert in the Ministry of Defense in the Areas of Defence Resource Management and Defence Acquisition;
- Senior Researcher at the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

- Associate Professor of "Organization and Management" by a decision of the Higher Attestation Commission of 07.04.2010
- PhD in "Organization and Management of the Armed Forces" by a decision of the Higher Attestation Commission of 24.04.2002
- Master's degree in "Economics of Security and Defense" of the University of National and World Economy, Sofia
- Master’s degree in "Military Science" of the Military Academy "G. S. Rakovski ", Sofia
- Master’s degree in "Maintenance and repair of aircraft" of the Higher Air Forces School 'G. Benkovski ", D. Mitropoliya
