Using Agent Based Distillation to Explore Issues Related to Asymmetric Warfare

<p><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family:times new roman">In this paper we present advantages and limitations of agent-based distillations in understanding and gaining insight into irregular/asymmetric military operations. Our study is based on experiments using NetLogo, a cross-platform multi-agent programmable modeling environment under continuous development at the Center for Connected Learning and Computer-Based Modeling of Northwestern University, Evanston (IL), USA. The presented work is very much a work in progress, and this preliminary paper is intended to stimulate discussion, garner feedback, and foster refinement.</span></p>
